Hello dear friends,
The image above is from a recent fleeting sunrise — one of those luminous, moments that reminds me to pause, appreciate and attune. Even in the swirl of travel, family, tenderness, and holiday complexity, these small moments help me land in Shanti — peace and resonance — so I can meet the season honestly.
As we step into Sagittarius season, fire mixes with wonder, longing, gratitude, and truth. For many, this season holds both celebration, ache, injustice, getting by and everything in between as the winds of vata season continue to carry us forward. It’s okay to be with it all, to embrace, to pause and express. Attunement gives us the spaciousness to feel what’s real and expand from there — gently, slowly, in our own timing.
Alongside attunement, I’m carrying forward the yogic practice of Brahmacharya — as discernment of energy- commitment to my vitality, and right engagement.
It keeps me awake to what nourishes and expands me, rooted in what is true.
We can use the above in supporting our vitality, and when engaging with others- we can pair this with the Brahmaviharas — the abodes of the heart:
Metta (loving-kindness), Karuna (compassion), Mudita (appreciative joy), Upeksha (equanimity — the even, steady heart).
Equanimity does not demand agreement or comfort. It asks
can I keep strengthening my heart as I move forward?
Wellness Wednesday: Pause, Breathe & Connect - Free online
This week I’m with family in Kansas, and I’m keeping our Community Circle open this Wednesday at 11 AM PT for those who wish to pause, breathe, center, and be held in shared presence. Our focus: Udana Vayu (the upward, clarifying wind) — supporting expression, truth-telling, and gentle release — and the Anahata chakra, the seat of compassion, attunement, and wholehearted presence.
We’ll practice for 20 minutes, and connect for 20 mins to stay, process, or share.
A soft space to acknowledge whatever is present — the troublesome and the true — as we approach the holiday and wintering season.
