Harvest, Digest, and Integrate | Soft Structure into Fall Offerings
"What if the winding paths that led you here were not in vain, and the wind kept blowing, the flowers kept growing, and you kept becoming anyway?" – Morgan Harper Nichols
✨ Earth Mother – Fáerhin for your listen as you take in this week’s read.
Bonus Track Ae-Yun-La Sol - The Breath of Creation also included.
Added to the Coming Home Playlist.
Good evening dear seekers,
As always. Let this read be an opportunity to listen within, steady your energy and relax. So many sweet offerings and updates in September.
Take what serves and leave the rest (links at the bottom).
Align into your spine, open your collar bones, relax into your seat and find your feet.
Breathe in with a bit more intention. Breathe out to release and return.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been tending to more than the goats and gardens. My website has quietly received a gentle refresh - the homepage now gives clearer pathways to my offerings, the About page has been updated, Group Classes refreshed, and what was once blog-centered now has a dedicated home for Insights & Inspirations. You can wander through old posts more easily - with tags for themes, and all past links still reachable through a new /blog/
pathway.
Like composting and weeding the beds, this process has been grounding and clarifying - not without its frustrations, a little rajasic fire in the mix. The vastness of any garden can feel overwhelming - whether it’s the soil beneath our feet, the tasks before us, or the inner work that calls for tending. But as in the garden, we take it clip by clip, pile by pile, breath by breath. Clearing space allows to realign and allow what is vital to thrive.
Yesterday in the gardens, the trees and spider webs brought me pause. This season, Earthbound Virgo invites us into soft structure.
Not rigidity, but rhythm. Not perfectionism, but refinement.
Like webs woven between the branches - delicate, adaptable, resilient - supported by what surrounds, we are reminded that structure can hold us without binding us.
In our practices over the coming weeks, its to support the Earth element. We will root into the muladhara chakra (root), centering us in belonging and steadiness. We’ll tend the spleen and stomach meridians, supporting digestion and harvest. And we’ll tend to the nervous system, cultivating balance from within. Deeper writings on these to come, but the invitation is simple: to root, digest, and regulate as we shift from the openness of summer into the steadier rhythm of late summer and fall.
This transition can carry both sadness and worry - the letting go of adventure, the call toward routine. A return to school for some. And yet, in this time of tumult in the world, where many face real struggle and scarcity, we are reminded to channel our inward fire. To prune, prime, and digest within so that we may enliven as the nurturers, givers, and earth-dwellers we are meant to be - strong in service, steady in heart.
Virgo season is a call to wellbeing and cleaner living. To practice saucha - purification - so that body, mind, and spirit are restored. To harvest, digest, and integrate what truly nourishes, letting the rest fall away.
“Saucha is to fine tune and polish the soul.”
“Our bodies are home to a soul, to divine bits of stardust gleaming through word & deed. When this vessel is clean, our intentions are connected and our minds are protected. Clarity within mirrors clarity without.” – The Yoga Almanac
There is so much richness ahead - invitations to practice, to deepen, to shed, and to rest. I hope you’ll join me in this season of grounding and renewal.
Mantra for this week.
I rest, digest, refine and realign. With structure I find pause. With connection and clarity - I am steady. I am strong. I am supported. I am whole.
In love & light,
Maya
