June: Fullness & Vitality with Prana, Presence & Heart
“The mind can go in a thousand directions.
But on this beautiful path, I walk in peace.
With each step, a gentle wind blows.
With each step, a flower blooms. “ Thich Nhat Hanh
Hello dear friends,
The rising sun- it’s warmth with birdsong, and sweet air have me this morning in gratitude for life. In appreciation for sleep’s magic to renew and rest after full days. A sattvic morning give rise to sweet senses that attune to surrounding life- creativity expression in form, a warm cup of tea with furbaby Koba at present.
Just this.
A mantra I’ve been sharing often during practices.
Please enjoy this Soundscape from the Coming Home playlist for the read. One we’ve landed on multiple occasions. A repetition, a revisit, a return. Worth the pause. Worth these moments.
I invite you to bring a hand to your heart. Tune into your breath, your rhythm. Allow for the moment, the music, the life force within you to connect. To yoke. Yoga. As your breath rises and falls, smooths and moves.
5 mins. Just this.
Om Mani Padme Hum- for compassion and wisdom
Themes and Reflections
As we come to close May on the threshold of June, I wonder if your world has felt anything like mine.
Momentum. Movement. Maybe even a touch of mayhem.
Different stories and winds yet perhaps some shared experiences: the closing of school years, transitions, new beginnings, projects unfolding, messy gardens growing, schedules filling, and the steady demands of daily life all asking for our attention at once.
We've been grounding into the wisdom of Taurus and Kapha season—tending foundations and what matters- rooting ourselves in what is nourishing and true (or the practice of trying when we get pulled).
Now toward summer, within Gemini season, the warming winds are here.
There is more warmth in movement. Urgency.
More Vata meeting Pitta fire.
More curiosity. More connection. More conversation (sometimes headstrong). More possibility.
Gemini reminds us of our capacity to adapt, to learn, to play, and to stay open to life as it unfolds. Yet Ayurveda offers a helpful reminder: like attracts like, and opposites heal.
When the winds pick up, we anchor.
When life becomes busy, we simplify.
When the mind races ahead, we return to the body.
In closing May- Mental Health Awareness Month- we've collectively navigated a season of reflection around caregiving, community, justice, remembrance, and challenging realities many continue to face. The mind is a powerful gift. It allows us to imagine, create, communicate, and connect. Yet when untethered, it can also leave us scattered and depleted.
What has felt most meaningful to me lately has not been the big accomplishments or perfectly completed plans.
It has been the moments. In response to how are you? What are the unmet needs in your wellness at present? Where have been the struggles, and what are you looking forward to? What's bringing you peace, hope?
As we move toward summer, our practices will continue to strengthen through the Koshas- layers of physical, energetic, mental and senses to bring forward our wisdom and indwellling loving light.
Let's explore the vayus—the movements of prana within the body—while inviting simplicity, steadiness, and connection with the natural world. Gemini asks we spend time tending the shoulders, arms, hands, and heart space, themes that support expression, communication, and conscious relationship.
Let’s meet life with presence. Keep it real. Nurture your gardens. Welcome joy where it appears. Adapt when plans or life demands us to shift.
"One day you will look back and realize the mess was actually the making of you." - Spirit Daughter
To remember that even amidst uncertainty, injustice, grief, rising costs, and the complexities of our shared world, we can continue cultivating practices that help us live with greater clarity, compassion, and resilience.
Thank you, May, for all that you've taught.
Welcome, June.
Offerings in June
"Sometimes things do not work out as planned. They work out better.
The life that is coming for you is worth every season you had to survive to get here." - Spirit Daughter

It's time, everyone.
June. Fullness. Vitality. Expansion.
As summer kicks off I'd love to see you on the mat, in the gardens, online, or simply sharing space in community.
