Thaw, Tend, Integrate : Gathering the Gifts of February
Dear friends,

As we move through the final stretch of February, we continue to soften within Kapha season — a time of stability, nourishment, and introspection- toward action. This week invites integration.
With the Year of the Fire Horse meeting late winter’s steady rhythms, we practice in the space between: honoring Kapha’s grounding gifts while gently inviting warmth and movement so stillness does not become stagnation. We call in a touch of Pitta’s digestive fire with the spacious, expansive qualities of Vata — air and ether — to help us move what may feel stuck, transform what is ready, and welcome the freshness that comes when our view widens.
I often speak of yoga as a practice of shedding — of returning to essential clarity — yet ultimately as my teachers remind- it is a practice of integration. Of becoming more fully ourselves. To welcome all our parts and refine in our relationship to them so that we might move forward more wholehearted, with our gifts and our scars.
Let’s explore this together in practice this week.
I’ll be bright and early at Heart Spring on Monday morning, along with our regular Tuesday and Wednesday gatherings. We also have Community Circle midweek, Friday Flow online, and a few open spaces at Humberside this Saturday for an intimate, steadily warming practice followed by tea and treats to support ojas (yes — the lemon goodness continues 🍋).
