“The healing we long for, whether it is the healing of the body or the healing of the spirit, comes when we are no longer afraid to make the choice to be whole, to be loving, to be ourselves completely.”
— bell hooks, All About Love

Thoughtful Tuesday morning, dear friends,

Revisiting an introspective track from the Coming Home Playlist — beautiful for early mornings, dusk, or meditative moments. Just 7 minutes, and a wholehearted companion for the reflection below:

My hope is that you are taking good care as we step toward spring. Yesterday morning was full — in all the ways. In those moments when we are in service and accountability to others, finding space to return, and then witness this in others feels especially meaningful. I’m feeling deeply grateful to be in this service and to have this practice.

These last few days, and the space opening this week, draw me into the invitation of the season: to recalibrate, renew, and awaken — with curiosity instead of pressure.

Curiosity. It can become the wings of a heavy heart.
It is the air that softens burden and loosens the grip of a life held too tight.

The days are stretching, light returning, and I sense a collective stirring… just as in nature. Even amidst tenderness, fatigue, and eager spirit or the unknown — all you are tending- invite it in- as Rumi says.

Personally, this week carries a different rhythm. Fresh. Reverent. Spacious.

Reed is on Spring Break, and I’m taking intermittent space — receiving in practices with peers (so inspiring, so intentional, so spacious), and heading to the coast with our sweet pup, Koba — who turns seven this week 🐾.

A small celebration, and a reminder to step away, breathe, and take in a wider horizon. Waters, space, reflection & connection, car rides with song… and likely, rain 😊.

With that, weekly offerings are modified (you’ll find details below).

Time to Reflect

In the space that opens — from my own practices and teachers — I wanted to offer a few inquiries for you to sit with. Svadhyaya. Perhaps with a warm cup of tea, a favorite song, or a few quiet moments to journal.

If you’re able, allow yourself to soften out of the thinking mind… into breath, into body. Even 10 minutes of free writing from a more somatic place can shift what surfaces.

There’s no way to get it right — only your way. Ever evolving. Uncovering what is true now.

What has winter taught me?
What wisdom, strength, or resilience revealed itself in the quieter season?

What am I ready to release?
What feels complete, heavy, or no longer needed as we step forward?

What is ready to awaken?
What energy is stirring within? What is asking for your care, attention, or courage?

As we move into this next phase — and into Aries season, the spark of new beginnings — we begin to tend the early stirrings of growth.

In practices this week and in the weeks ahead, we’ll continue supporting you through steady warmth, circulation, and enlivened presence — deepening connection to that quiet, competent, knowing vitality within.

Wholeness uncovered.
Aligned presence and wholehearted action from what is remembered — smriti.

Let renewal be simple.
Let awakening happen softly.

In your time.
Just as the seasonal blooms.

“Creation is ongoing. The world begins anew each day…
This is the miracle that makes not a sound, but changes everything
if we are quiet enough to feel it happen.” — Mark Nepo

May we allow renewal to unfold in its own time.
May we trust what is quietly awakening.
May we return. May we Remember.

Recalibrate. Renew. Awaken.

In radiance & rest, with love & light,
Maya
